DV Catena Tinto Histórico Malbec Petit Verdot 2022 is a revival of one of the most emblematic wines in the history of the Catena family. Inspired by the red blends created by Don Domingo Catena in the 1930s—considered the finest wines of Mendoza in the elegant Buenos Aires bistros of the time—this blend brings back that spirit with a modern interpretation of the Mendoza terroir.
"Made with hand-selected grapes from Paraje Altamira, this blend of 95% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot offers a complex aromatic profile, with intense notes of black fruits and flowers typical of the Uco Valley. The Petit Verdot adds subtle spicy nuances that enhance depth and persistence. On the palate, it’s full-bodied and vibrant, with rich fruit concentration, soft tannins, and a long, elegant, and fresh finish. A red that honors tradition with elegance and character."
