Description
Score: 95 pts Robert Parker | 95 pts James Suckling
Gran Enemigo Agrelo 2021 is a masterful expression of Cabernet Franc from the historical Agrelo region, located at 950 meters above sea level in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. Crafted by renowned winemaker Alejandro Vigil, this wine reflects the depth and classic elegance that define this traditional area, once home to some of Argentina’s most iconic wines.
This vintage is a co-fermentation of 85% Cabernet Franc and 15% Malbec, aged for 15 months in 100-year-old foudres. The result is a wine with remarkable structure and finesse, combining ripe black fruit, herbal undertones, graphite and a soft earthy complexity.
"Very precise and compact, with layers of cassis, herbs, dark cherry and spices. Fine-grained tannins frame the palate, leading to a long, expressive finish."
